Observational Astronomy: Observing the sky with the naked eye or telescope or other devices. Observing basic light, radio waves, infrared, X-ray, Gamma Ray, and ultraviolet light.
Solar Astronomy: The study of our nearest star, the Sun.
Planetary Astronomy: The study of the planets, moons, asteroids, and comets.
